The Corporate Security Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the organization's Enterprise Physical Security program. This role ensures the protection of associates, property, and physical assets across all facilities through comprehensive planning, systems integration, and risk mitigation efforts. The position also plays a central role in emergency preparedness and physical incident response.
What You Will Do- Enterprise Physical Security Program:
Design and implement physical security strategies aligned with organizational risk management goals. - Conduct physical security risk assessments and site vulnerability analyses across global locations to proactively identify and mitigate potential security threats.
- Establish, monitor, and report on physical security performance metrics and incident trends.
- Provide executive leadership with timely updates, risk reports, and strategic recommendations to guide decision-making and improve security posture.
- Facility Security Management:
Provide oversight to third-party security contractors, including selection, training, and scheduling. - Oversee all aspects of access control systems, CCTV, perimeter security, and intrusion detection system operations.
- Standardize security procedures and protocols for all company sites and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with facilities and business leaders on site planning and security integration.
- Incident Management & Emergency Response:
Develop and maintain incident response procedures for physical threats, emergencies, and workplace disruptions. - Coordinate emergency response protocols, crisis management plans, evacuation drills, and workplace violence prevention initiatives.
- Partner with the business continuity team to direct crisis response efforts during events such as natural disasters, protests, or threats to facilities.
- Protection & Travel Safety:
Lead the executive protection initiatives, including coordination with travel planning and risk mitigation for corporate leadership and key stakeholders by way of internal processes and the use of vetted outside contractors. Ensures confidentiality throughout the engagement. - Manage programs related to associate safety, visitor control, and secure access for high-risk roles or regions.
- Compliance & Investigations:
Ensure adherence to security-related regulatory standards and internal policies (e.g., OSHA, local building codes). - Conduct internal investigations related to physical incidents including theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access, in coordination with HR and Legal teams.
- Vendor & Resource Management:
Manage security service providers, integrators, and maintenance vendors for hardware and staffing needs. - Lead security budget planning, procurement, and contract negotiations to ensure operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in physical security management, including leadership roles across corporate or government facilities.
- Strong track record in managing multi-site security operations, systems integration, and crisis response.
- Physical Security Professional (PSP) preferred
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) preferred
- Facility Security Officer (FSO) – if applicable
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
