Who We Are: Sploot Veterinary Care is a new kind of veterinary clinic, blending Urgent Care and General Practice to provide pets with high-quality care when they need it. We were founded by compassionate individuals who wanted to rewrite the rules of vet med – prioritizing our team’s well-being as much as our patients’. Day in the Life (Job Duties):As a Sploot Veterinary Technician, you will:

  • Partner with Veterinarians to deliver top-notch care – from prepping patients for surgery, monitoring anesthesia, to performing treatments and diagnostics. You’re the doctor’s trusted right hand.
  • Provide Compassionate Client Care – educate and reassure pet parents during stressful moments. Explain treatments and home care instructions, ensuring clients feel supported and heard.
  • Perform Lab & Technical Skills – collect blood, run lab tests, place IV catheters, take radiographs (including dental x-rays), administer medications and vaccines, and assist in suturing and wound care.
  • Maintain Organized Workflow – keep digital medical records, restock supplies, and ensure equipment is cleaned/sterilized. A tidy clinic supports the team, pets, and owners alike.
  • Be a Culture Champion – embody core values like Accountability, Teamwork, and Solution-Focus. Mentor assistants and foster a positive environment.

Qualifications:

  • Credentialed Vet Tech in Colorado: Certified/Registered/Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, or LVT) with a current Colorado license (or eligibility).
  • Experience: At least 1 year of clinical vet tech experience. Emergency/urgent care experience is a plus, but not required; training is available.
  • Team Player Attitude: Ability to thrive in a collaborative setting with a no-ego mindset.
  • Efficient & Proactive: Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, and attention to detail in record-keeping and dosing.
  • Compassion & Passion: Demonstrated care for animals, respectful client interactions, and a drive to improve veterinary medicine.

Bonus:
Experience in emergency/critical care, dentistry, anesthesia, or other advanced skills is welcome.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive Pay: $26–$29/hour, plus 1.5x pay on holidays recognized by Sploot.
