Overview

Position Title: Commercial Lines Client Advisor

Reports To: Division President

Location: Denver, CO Office (Greenwood Village)

Compensation: Start at $75,000 with benefits, Bonus and Commission Available

Position Summary

This is a sales-oriented position that requires advanced communication skills and thorough knowledge of insurance products available through our agency. Capable of pursuing and closing sales of new and exciting commercial lines accounts and retaining assigned business books.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Achieveobjectivesestablishedinannual Client Advisorsalesplan .
  • Prospectfornewbusinessfromexistingclientsandidentifiedtargetgroups.
  • Contactprospectsforthepurposeofprovidingaquoteandmakingsalesappointments.
  • Surveyprospectstodetermineinsuranceneeds,inspectingcurrentinsurancepolicies,riskmanagementplans,property,productsandrecords.
  • Collectdetailedriskandunderwritinginformationincludingsurveydataandlosshistory.
  • Developanddeliverformalproposalsofinsuranceincludingdetailsofcoverage's,limits,deductiblesandotherpertinentinformation.
  • Workwith Accountmanagementservicepersonand/orteamtomarketandcompletecompanysubmissionsandselectionofpotentialmarkets.
  • Conductclientandprospectappointmentscommunicatingproposalsandrenewals,explainingdetailsandcommunicatingdesiretoconductbusiness.
  • Introduce Account Managertoclientsandrequestthatservicecallsbedirectedtothemandforwardallservicerelatedcallstoassigned Account Manager .
  • Stayinformedofallclaimsorserviceissuesandbecomeinvolvedinresolutionwhenrequired.
  • Participateinrenewals,when appropriate,byreviewingexpirationlistingwith

    Managertodetermineappropriateactionandcollectionofinformationtopreparerenewalsubmissions.
  • Maintainproductionreportsandattendallsalesmeetingsasrequired.
  • Promoteagencyandinsuranceindustryinthecommunity.
  • Keepinformedofindustrydevelopmentsthroughreviewoftradepressandbyattendinginsurancecarriertrainingmeetingsonnewproducts,etc.
  • Performotherspecificdutiesandprojectsasassignedbyagencymanagement.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Collegedegreefromafour-year university,orequivalentcombinationofeducationandexperience
  • Experienceininsurancepreferred
  • Experienceincommercialpropertyandcasualty) insurancewithlargerandmorecomplexmiddlemarketclientsandrisksispreferred
Licenses or Certifications
  • Active Colorado Property and Casualtylicenserequired ;

    Colorado Life&Healthlicensedesired
  • CIC,CPCUdesignationpreferred
