Our client, a leading organization in the technology and security sector, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Java Developer to join their dynamic team. As a Java Developer, you will be an integral part of the Security and Development department supporting multiple applications and ensuring the integrity and security of our systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will enable you to thrive in this innovative environment.
Job Title: Java Developer
Location: Greenwood Village, CO (preferred) / Berkeley Heights, NJ, or Omaha, NE acceptable (100% Onsite)
Duration: 12+ months with high possibility of extension/Conversion

- Design, develop, and maintain security scanning tools such as Fortify, Sonatype, and Web Inspect for multiple applications.
- Coordinate with security teams to review scan results, identify vulnerabilities, and implement remediation strategies.
- Run security scans every 90 days, review findings, and ensure issues are resolved within 30 days.
- Utilize ticketing tools like Azure Dev Ops (ADO) to track and manage work items and project tasks.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support existing systems and implement new security measures.
- Proficiency in Java, specifically Java 17, with the ability to read, understand, and modify code independently.
- Experience with at least one scanning tool such as Sonatype, Fortify, or Web Inspect.
- Familiarity with SQL and experience with ticketing tools like JIRA or ADO.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to organize and coordinate meetings effectively.
- Background in static/dynamic scans and familiarity with security tools like JFrog or Sonar Qube is a plus.
