Competitive hourly or salaried rate based on experience, licensure, and hours committed. Benefits may include health insurance (for sufficient hours), paid time off, and supervision toward full licensure.

About Denver Catholic Counseling

Denver Catholic Counseling is a faith-based private practice in the Denver metro area, dedicated to providing high-quality mental health therapy that integrates rigorous evidence-based psychological methods with the teachings and anthropology of the Catholic faith. We specialize in individual therapy (for adults and teens) and couples counseling, including support for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, marriage preparation, discernment, scrupulosity, grief, and spiritual/emotional growth.

We are fully committed to evidence-based practices and fidelity to Catholic principles. We serve clients statewide via our Greenwood Village office and telehealth.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, licensed (or license-eligible) therapist with a strong cognitive-behavioral orientation and/or exclusive commitment to evidence-based methods (e.g., CBT, DBT, ERP, Gottman Method, etc.). The ideal candidate is passionate about ethically integrating Catholic values into clinical work while prioritizing proven, research-supported interventions. This role starts part-time with highly flexible scheduling to support work-life balance, with clear opportunity to increase hours—including to full-time—if mutually desired as your caseload and practice needs grow.

Supervision is provided for pre-licensed clinicians or those pursuing advanced credentials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and deliver ongoing individual and couples
    therapy using evidence-based modalities (with a preference for cognitive-behavioral approaches). Training available as well!
  • Integrate Catholic anthropological insights, spiritual principles, and client-requested faith elements (e.g., prayer, virtue development) into therapy in a clinically appropriate, ethical manner.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to Colorado licensing standards and best practices.
  • Foster strong therapeutic alliances to support clients in achieving emotional resilience, behavioral change, and alignment with their faith and values.
  • Address faith-related concerns (e.g., spiritual struggles, moral questions) through an evidence-informed lens.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, case consultations, and ongoing professional development.
  • Contribute to our supportive, mission-aligned team environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field from an accredited program.
  • Active (or eligible for) Colorado licensure:
  • LPC or LPCC.
  • LCSW, LSW, or CSW.
  • MFT or MFTC.
  • Psychologist or Psychologist Candidates.

For Pre-licensed candidates (LPCC, LSW, MFTC, etc.) supervision is provided toward full licensure.

Demonstrated cognitive-behavioral orientation and/or exclusive use of evidence-based therapeutic methods (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-focused protocols).

Strong commitment to Catholic teachings and ability to integrate faith ethically into evidence-based practice. Practicing Catholic preferred.

Excellent communication, empathy, and clinical skills.

Comfort with telehealth platforms and electronic health records.

Ability to work independently in a flexible, collaborative setting.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Training/experience in CBT or other evidence-based therapies for anxiety, depression, trauma, emotion regulation, and/or couples work.
  • Background serving Catholic clients or in faith-integrated settings.
  • Interest in areas like scrupulosity, discernment, marital issues, or spiritual integration.
