DESCRIPTION:

The RE Servicing Specialist III will perform all escrow analysis and processing transactions to ensure accurate and timely disbursement of escrow funds for Real Property Tax, Homeowners and Flood Insurance, and Private Mortgage Insurance. They will assist our members with inquiries on their escrow account as a result of the annual escrow analysis. This position will work directly with the tax vendor and the Information technology department to resolve any exceptions that impact day-to-day processing and perform quality control measures, as needed.

Provide oversight of all escrow processing transactions to ensure accurate and timely disbursement of escrow funds for Real Property Tax, Homeowners and Flood Insurance, and Private Mortgage Insurance.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to:

Manager – RE Loan Servicing

and other financial institutions including credit union partners, strategic partners, governmental agencies, and credit union executive staff.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.

Familiar with Fannie Mae guidelines

Experience:

4 years real estate mortgage servicing or loan originations experience, required.

2 years mortgage servicing escrow experience, required.

2 years of experience in Escrow reporting, Tax, Insurance, or PMI Premium Payments, required.

Demonstrated knowledge of Homeowner’s Protection Act, preferred.

Knowledge of lender requirements regarding Flood Insurance, preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge of Annual Escrow Disclosure, Analysis and impact on monthly mortgage payment, preferred.

Knowledge of lender requirements regarding tax tracking and payments.

Skills:
  • Handle confidential/sensitive information collaborate with others both internally and externally
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Exercise good judgement/reasoning and resourcefully solve routine problems
  • A self-starter, self-directed, detail-oriented individual who is highly motivated and organized and who can help provide strategic thinking in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft environment, including spreadsheet, database, word processing and presentation capabilities
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities in a dynamic environment, collaborative, team environment
  • Ability to identify, interpret, and present data to management in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience manipulating complex data using appropriate software tools to generate clear and straightforward reporting and presentations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Demonstrates Bellco’s Act Nice Behaviors and Core Values in all interactions with members, prospective members, and personnel in other Bellco departments.
  • Perform Annual Escrow Analysis and Validation.
  • Track and disburse Mortgage Escrow Payments to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations to include Tax, Insurance, flood, and PMI.
  • Communicate with members regarding their Escrow Account including changes to the payment amount, payment history, and PMI Removal.
  • Track Delinquent and Past Due Tax and Insurance Premiums to prevent negative member and lender impact and disburse tax escrow payments to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Analyze and review reports and data to resolve issues and maintain tax and insurance information with vendors based on procedures and with management oversight.
