The RoleThe Health Center Site Manager provides operational leadership for a fast-paced, multi-specialty clinical site. This role oversees daily clinic operations to ensure efficient workflows, excellent patient and staff experiences, and consistent compliance with quality and regulatory standards. The Site Manager builds high-performing teams and fosters a collaborative, welcoming work environment. This position blends administrative leadership with a strong understanding of clinical operations.
Working closely with Clinical, Quality, and Operations leadership, the Site Manager supports site performance, monitors key metrics, and leads continuous improvement efforts.
A. Operational Leadership & Administration
- Lead day-to-day clinic operations, including patient flow, scheduling efficiency, and throughput
- Supervise administrative and clinical activities; address operational issues with Medical Site Directors
- Oversee facilities, materials management, and adherence to clinic policies and PCMH standards
- Monitor productivity dashboards and KPIs; lead initiatives to improve access, no-shows, cycle times, and care coordination
B. Leadership, People Management & Culture
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop staff in partnership with HR and Operations
- Conduct performance evaluations, competency reviews, and corrective actions as needed
- Lead daily huddles, promote engagement, and foster an inclusive, team-oriented culture
C. Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CLIA, HRSA, and Joint Commission requirements
- Participate in audits, quality reviews, and corrective action planning
- Support infection prevention, emergency preparedness, and safety initiatives
D. Financial & Business Operations
- Partner with Revenue Cycle team on registration accuracy, insurance verification, claims, and collections
- Monitor provider productivity, visit utilization, and financial performance metrics
- Recommend operational improvements to enhance efficiency and sustainability
E. Communication & Reporting
- Provide regular updates to the Director of Operations on staffing, performance, risks, and site needs
- Track incidents, grievances, safety events, and facility concerns
- Share trends, challenges, and improvement opportunities with leadership
- Direct supervision of administrative staff
- Co-supervision of clinical support teams (RN, LPN, MA) in collaboration with the Clinical Director
Required
- At least 3+ years of healthcare administrative or management experience
- Strong knowledge of clinical workflows and patient care operations
- Supervisory experience managing 10+ staff
- EMR proficiency (Epic preferred)
- Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Ability to analyze data and drive performance improvement
- Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, HRSA, and Joint Commission standards
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field
- Experience in an FQHC setting
- Supervisory experience in a multidisciplinary clinical environment
