Title: Sr. Broker / Commercial Insurance Account Executive – Private Equity

Compensation: $150,000k - $250,000k + bonus + full benefits

Summary:

Our client, a Top 30 Property & Casualty Broker, is looking for their next Sr. Broker/Sr. Account Executive to join their growing Private Equity division. Position is open due to grow and will report to their NYC office (position has flexibility to be REMOTE). Ideal candidate will have hands on brokering experience, managing the entire renewal life-cycle (pre, renewal, post, and stewardship), and comfortable meeting with clients to discuss strategy.

Prior experience with Private Equity or M&A due diligence is REQUIRED. Very visible position within the organization and will have an opportunity to grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise and execute on the placement of new and renewal P&C programs including crafting submissions.
  • Driving placements within required time frames and servicing those placements including their renewals; new business opportunities in the Private Equity space are often shorter and more complex than a traditional renewal timeline.
  • Analyze and review insurance programs for clients to determine optimum program including pricing, terms and conditions for both new and renewal business.
  • Help with the development of new and innovative solutions specific to Private Equity risks for the Middle Market clients/industry
  • Knowledge of loss sensitive, alternative risk transfer, self-insured retentions, and captive programs
  • Lead discussions and negotiations with insurance markets to provide best-in-class terms, coverage, and pricing
  • Collaborates with Associate Brokers and Brokers to synthesize and analyze exposure data, loss history, and unique coverage needs for submissions
  • Proactively manage a full book of business while providing M&A/Due Diligence support
  • Benchmarking client programs (as needed) and presenting quotes to clients including recommendations for enhancing the insurance program
  • Participates in new business development meetings and delivers industry and line of business specific expertise
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of insurance carrier relations
  • Collaborate on thought leadership and industry publications
  • Assist in the development of innovative solutions to address changing risk profiles
  • Act as a mentor for associate brokers, brokers, and other team members

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant insurance P&C business experience
  • Proven knowledge of Casualty (Workers Compensation, Commercial Auto, General Liability, Umbrella/Excess) and Property coverages with program ranging in size from traditional Middle Market to Loss Sensitive business.
  • Strong understanding of Middle Market P&C risks and carrier appetites.
  • Experience in Private Equity backed placements and servicing.
  • Broad relationships with the carriers that write Middle Market P&C business.
  • Knowledge of Benchmarking and Loss Analysis.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
