Job Summary:

The Caregiver provides direct personal care and related services in the home that are allowed to be performed under state law. She/he functions under the direction, instruction and supervision of the RN Supervisor. Must drive and have a car.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Help patients with mobility and transfers, including lifting and positioning.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Assist in the maintenance of a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide emotional support.
Skills
  • Ability to lift and move patients safely and with proper body mechanics.
  • Experience in assisted living or long-term care settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of patient care techniques and infection control protocols.
  • Must drive and have a car.
  • Valid driver's license for transportation purposes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Understanding of social work principles for providing holistic care to patients.
  • Familiarity with dementia care practices and behavior management techniques.
  • Previous experience in homecare or related fields is a plus.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
  • Ability to think and work independently and with direction.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Good communication skills and bedside manner with a compassionate personality
  • Up-to-date identification
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent personal hygiene

Pay: $18.00- $23 per hour
