Job Summary:
The Caregiver provides direct personal care and related services in the home that are allowed to be performed under state law. She/he functions under the direction, instruction and supervision of the RN Supervisor. Must drive and have a car.
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Help patients with mobility and transfers, including lifting and positioning.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Assist in the maintenance of a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide emotional support.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely and with proper body mechanics.
- Experience in assisted living or long-term care settings preferred.
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and infection control protocols.
- Must drive and have a car.
- Valid driver's license for transportation purposes.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Understanding of social work principles for providing holistic care to patients.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices and behavior management techniques.
- Previous experience in homecare or related fields is a plus.

- High school diploma or GED
- Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
- Ability to think and work independently and with direction.

- Excellent personal hygiene
Pay: $18.00- $23 per hour
