Full Time Bone Density and X-ray technician position at Greenwich Radiology Group Greenwich Radiological Group is seeking a full‑time Bone Density and X-ray Technician to join our team of exceptional diagnostic radiology professionals. With over 60 years of experience providing high quality outpatient imaging services, we are committed to delivering excellent patient care in a comfortable and compassionate environment.
The Bone Density and X-ray Technician will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiology exams, with a primary focus on Bone Mineral Density (BMD) scans and X-ray procedures. Conduct bone density scans using dual‑energy X‑ray absorptiometry (DEXA) equipment - Perform various X‑ray examinations as required - Assess patients and collect relevant medical history - Position patients correctly and ensure their comfort during procedures - Operate imaging equipment to obtain high‑quality diagnostic images - Analyze scan results and generate reports for physician interpretation - Maintain and calibrate DEXA and X‑ray equipment - Adhere to safety protocols and radiation protection guidelines - Assist in maintaining supplies and keeping the imaging areas clean and orderly - Assist in scheduling patients and maintaining medical records.
Qualifications - Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology - Current Connecticut licensure as a radiographer - Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology - Excellent patient care and communication skills - Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment - CAT certification a plus but not required.
