They are seeking a skilled Estimator to join their team and play a key role in preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates that help win projects and drive continued success.
Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Review drawings, specifications, and other project documents to fully understand scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other team members to develop accurate estimates.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing, ensuring competitive and complete coverage.
- Develop quantity take-offs and pricing for all trades as needed.
- Analyze project risks and recommend value engineering solutions when appropriate.
- Participate in preconstruction meetings, bid reviews, and proposal presentations.
- Maintain a database of cost information and subcontractor/vendor contacts to support future estimating efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred) OR equivalent field experience.
- 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction (multi-family, healthcare, institutional, or similar sectors a plus).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost drivers.
- Proficiency with estimating software (such as Sage Estimating, Timberline, Pro Est, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
