Bank Podiatrist Band 6

Overview

HCPC registered Podiatrists are invited to join our community podiatry teams on a bank basis. The role operates in clinics across the boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley and includes assessment, diagnosis, and personalised treatment of high‑risk patients.

• Provide a full range of podiatry treatments in community clinics, client homes, and care homes, including wound dressings and scalpel debridement of nail & soft tissue pathology.
• Diagnose and manage complex foot problems resulting from neglect and lack of self‑care.
• Develop and implement personalised care plans, manage your own caseload, and maintain punctuality and reliability.
• Travel across Greenwich and Bexley for home visits; a care driver or driver’s licence is essential.
• Refer clients appropriately to specialist teams within the department (nail surgery, biomechanical assessment) and to primary care or acute teams for investigation, diagnosis, or treatment.
• Assist individuals to manage their health needs effectively and achieve maximum independence through self‑care.
• Alert others to concerns where protection may be required for both children and vulnerable adults.

• One year of clinical experience post graduation with proven clinical competencies and ongoing CPD.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational ability to plan and manage caseload autonomously while receiving support from senior clinicians.

• Work within multidisciplinary teams providing specialist care in Diabetes and Wound Care, MSK, Podiatric Surgery, and nail surgery.
