Basic Function
Provide focused support for automation assembly, installation, upgrades, and optimization of automation equipment on the plant floor and RDC lab. Support the training and documentation process through IQ/OQ/PQ data collection procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Plant Automation team to accelerate the installation of new automation equipment.
- Train manufacturing technical staff on how to operate and maintain automation equipment.
- Work to optimize automation equipment.
- Observe automation equipment to detect hazards, problems, and the need for service; troubleshoot and repair equipment where possible.
- Evaluate system performance and make necessary adjustments to equipment.
- Proficient in FANUC or ABB robotics programming.
- Knowledge of industrial engineering including mechanical installation, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and chilled water systems.
- Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Working knowledge of industrial safety regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- General knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of manufacturing or engineering experience is a plus.
The Manufacturing plant is not temperature controlled. Changes in humidity and temperature occur throughout the year. Machine noise is constant, but conditions meet OSHA mandated requirements monitored by the Safety Committee.
Physical Requirements- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Lifting fifty pounds occasionally.
- Twenty percent or less expected.
