Job DescriptionThe Lead, Program Management plays a pivotal role in leading high‑impact, cross‑functional projects from initial concept through successful delivery. This position is responsible for driving collaboration across teams, managing all phases of program execution, and serving as a key liaison with customers and senior leadership. With a focus on innovation, quality, and efficiency, the Senior Specialist ensures projects are completed on time and within budget, contributing to the continued success and growth of L3
Harris in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Lead cross‑functional program teams to deliver critical corporate projects from RFP through design, execution, and delivery, including proposal preparation, SOW development, contract negotiation, and oversight of cost, schedule, and quality performance.
- Serve as the Program Manager for a range of projects, managing all phases from initial concept development through full project completion and delivery.
- Act as a primary liaison with customers, users, and senior leadership, providing regular briefings and ensuring frequent, effective communication to support program success.
- Direct the work of functional employees in the execution of assigned projects, establishing and monitoring performance against schedules, plans, and milestones.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support Earned Value Management System (EVMS) requirements, including data collection, reporting, and variance analysis.
- Ability to travel up to 10%, including internationally, as required to support program activities.
- Flexibility to work on short notice, overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Adaptable to meet program challenges and opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree with nine (9) years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate degree with six (6) years of prior related experience.
- Lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Strong knowledge of program management; typically viewed as having a specialty within the discipline and may have broad knowledge of project management.
- Interim Secret Security Clearance required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Graduate degree in technical or business field
- Demonstrated commitment to the highest ethical standards in all business Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent business acumen and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience in engineering or operations.
- Working knowledge of system‑level requirements, design practices, hardware specification, and development.
- Data network systems experience.
- Advanced Battle Management Systems engineering or business experience.
