- Integrate with a multidisciplinary team of Systems Administrators supporting Windows, Linux, and Network operations.
- Assist Software Engineers by providing Windows infrastructure services that support development efforts.
- Partner with the Information Security team to provide secure, auditable Windows systems.
- Plan and document operational processes, configurations, and diagrams required for management, security operations, and the software teams.
- Coach, mentor, and train new team members.
- Assist leadership with business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies.
- On-site (not fully remote) position.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in Windows Server and client systems administration (Server 2019, Server 2016, Server 2012, Windows 11, Windows 10) in mixed OS environments.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and ADM Templates.
- Experience with Break/fix troubleshooting.
- Experience provisioning via Windows Deployment Services, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, or similar technologies.
- Experience with network infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, SMB/CIFS.
- Experience scripting in batch and Power Shell.
- Patch management in WSUS.
- Analytical skills.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
- System hardening and auditing in RMF, CMMC, DFARS, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, DISA STIG environments.
- Configuration management with SCOM, Ansible, AWX, Puppet, or Chef.
- Centralized authentication setup and user/group management (FreeIPA, IDM, Kerberos, LDAP, NIS).
- Code repository administration (Team Foundation Server, Git, Git Lab, Git Hub, SVN).
- Scripting in Power Shell, batch, VBS/VBA, Python, Perl, JavaScript.
- Basic network administration of layer 2/3 switches.
- Support for multi-OS environments (Linux, Windows, Solaris, embedded OS).
- Knowledge of Dev Ops tools (Kubernetes, Open Shift, Team City, Docker, Jenkins).
- Experience building/utilizing CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cloud platforms.
- Certifications such as MCSA, MTA, Microsoft 365, MCSE, Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH.
- Deep understanding of metrics and monitoring systems (SCOM/MOM, Nagios, Zabbix, Open View).
- Experience performing log analysis and network forensic investigations (Elasticsearch, Splunk).
- Expertise troubleshooting complex distributed systems.
- Experience creating and improving documented procedures and playbooks.
