Job Summary
Medical Assistant – Full time (Monday – Friday, days). Provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care at Greenville Cardiovascular Associates, a part of HCA Healthcare.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking histories and vital signs.
- Set up exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments, maintaining supplies and sterilizing equipment.
- Give injections and assist with phlebotomy and lab testing.
- Assist physicians with minor surgeries and physicals.
- Answer telephone calls and screen referrals.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program OR 12 months of direct clinical patient care experience OR current Medical Assistant certification.
- Medical Assistants without certification must obtain certification within one year of hire.
- Recent graduates will obtain clinical MA certification within 60 days of employment.
- Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/A
-OE credentials highly preferred.
