This is a senior Finance Director role with real ownership, influence and visibility.
You will be the number one finance leader for the entire US region
, sitting at the heart of a PE-backed, project-driven, fast-growing international business operating across engineering, installation, construction and complex contract environments.
While project finance and contract accounting are a major part of the role
, this is very much a full Finance Director remit
. You will lead the entire US finance function, partner the business commercially and help drive performance, decision-making and growth.

The role- Lead the entire US finance function end to end
- Act as the senior finance partner to the US CEO and Senior Leadership Team
- Own project accounting across the region including WIP, milestones, revenue recognition, cost to complete and margin analysis
- Be the financial backbone of major contracts, from bid stage through delivery to final cash
- Own long-term contracts, variations, claims and overall commercial performance
- Lead monthly, quarterly and year-end close with strong US GAAP reporting
- Full ownership of US financial reporting, controls, compliance and governance
- Drive FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and performance management
- Manage, develop and scale a team of 5–6 finance professionals
- Own cashflow, working capital, billing cycles, retention and banking relationships
- Lead audit, tax and compliance across all US entities
- Improve systems, processes and reporting to support rapid growth and increasing project complexity
- Work closely with the UK-based Group CFO on group reporting, PE requirements and performance reviews
- CPA or equivalent qualified accountant
- Strong technical grounding in US GAAP
- Experience operating as a Finance Director / senior finance leader
- Background in project-led, contract-based or services businesses
- Experience in construction, engineering, industrial services, infrastructure or similar environments
- Deep understanding of project accounting and revenue recognition
, but with a broad FD mindset - Commercial, pragmatic and confident operating at both detail and board level
- Proven leader who enjoys building and developing teams
- Hands-on, proactive and comfortable owning the full finance remit
