Harris is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineering Specialist – Mission Systems – Aircraft Capability Extension System (ACES) to join our Greenville, TX team. This position is responsible for Requirements, Development Support, and Integration of ACES Remote Operator Workstation capabilities across multiple platforms and programs. The role will investigate and resolve issues, submit bids and proposals, and document status and issues in Jira/Confluence.
Functions
- Considerable Systems or Software Engineering experience as a Subject Matter Expert working with Operator Interfaces.
- Comprehensive knowledge to write capability/product requirement specifications.
- Work with customers, system engineers and system architects to develop requirements.
- Test and troubleshoot Operator Interfaces on various platforms and programs.
- Communicate effectively both within and outside of the organization to include explaining requirements to software developers, customers, and vendors.
- Knowledge of remote operations infrastructure/ROE.
- Work independently in a team environment through an entire build cycle.
- Understanding systems engineering life cycle.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Use IBM Doors Requirements Management tool.
- Well versed in JIRA/Confluence and agile process.
- Experience using Power BI stats.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Bachelor's Degree with six (6) years of prior hands‑on experience with RC‑135 Operator interfaces and/or Remote Operator interfaces.
- Graduate Degree with four (4) years of prior hands‑on experience with RC‑135 Operator interfaces and/or Remote Operator interfaces.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of ten (10) years of prior hands‑on experience with RC‑135 Operator interfaces and/or Remote Operator interfaces.
- Must have an active Secret clearance at the time of hire with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret with SCI.
- Active Top Secret with SCI.
- Security+ Certification.
