Physician Assistant – Radiation Oncology (Full-Time)

Position OverviewWe are a physician-led community radiation oncology practice in Anderson, SC seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. This role is designed to extend physician care—not replace it— within a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment.

, primarily responding to patient questions and treatment-related issues - No nights or weekends on site
- Stable, single-physician practice (no corporate or private equity ownership)
- Strong physician mentorship with structured onboarding
- Predictable clinic schedule (typically 8 AM–5 PM, varies with patient volume)
- Long-term role with continuity of care
- Conduct on-treatment visits (OTVs) and manage radiation-related toxicities
- Perform routine follow-up visits for radiation oncology patients
- Provide telephone-based call coverage
- Coordinate care with radiation therapists, nursing staff, and referring providers
- Assist with documentation and care planning
- Provide patient education and supportive care throughout treatment
New patient consultations, treatment planning, and final medical decision-making are performed by the supervising radiation oncologist.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Eligible for South Carolina licensure
- Oncology experience preferred but not required
- New graduates with strong interest in oncology are encouraged to apply
- Salary: $125,000–$145,000, commensurate with experience

You’ll work directly with Dr. Leander Cannick
, a board-certified radiation oncologist with 14 years at AnMed Health Cancer Center (Commission on Cancer accredited). Dr. Cannick is a U.S. Navy veteran and fellowship-trained in integrative medicine, bringing a patient-centered, holistic approach to oncology care.
