Senior Accountant - Defense

SWORD Defense Systems is hiring a Senior Accountant to take primary ownership of accounting operations within our defense manufacturing organization.

This role is designed for an experienced accounting professional who has led multi-entity close, understands manufacturing inventory valuation and cost accounting, and operates with executive-level accountability.

CPA license strongly preferredor comparable advanced experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience in defense-sector or regulated industries preferred
• Proven experience handling multi-entity accounting
• Demonstrated experience developing tax strategies for companies with global operations
• Direct responsibility for inventory valuation and reconciliation in a manufacturing environment
• Experience operating in a regulated or compliance-driven environment
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain internal controls
• Strong documentation discipline and audit readiness
• Comfortable working around firearms and defense-related products
• Independent execution without day-to-day supervision

If your experience is primarily A/R, A/P, or support-level accounting, this role will not be a fit.

• Multi-entity month-end close and consolidated reporting
• Inventory accounting oversight and cost accounting
• Internal control framework development and maintenance
• Tax strategy coordination and oversight for global operations

Full-Time | $70,000–$120,000
