Reporting to the Head Football Coach, this position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Completion of the forms and papers for SAs and recruits Eligibility to Compliance
- Maintain football squad roster and obtain all information needed for SAs and recruits
- Request all transcripts, test scores Sickle cell tests, official and unofficial
- Manage the completion process from start to finish on all recruits, signees and walk-ons
- Set-up paperwork and travel plans for all recruits and reimburse all travel
- Manage official visit with meals, hosts, hotel rooms and professors
- Work with players to handle all problems dealing with financial aid and scholarship money
- Work with players to solve eligibility problems from drop class schedules, lack of payment
- Arrange emergency travel for players and paperwork for trip
- Arrange transportation of players to and from airport
- Work with HFC with discipline of players and meetings with problems of athletes
- Setup housing for players on campus and off campus
- Monitor payment being made to the leasing office off campus by athletes
- Provide information to SAs on all information needed for daily upcoming situations
- Provide information on game tickets procedure
- Handle all parent questions on SAs and recruits form phone calls and visits
- Mentor players who are dealing with personal and school problems
- Complete the admission process of all SAs and walk on with the paperwork with the ECU and EC
- Provide travel for players to Student Health or Med center to update shots or medical needs
- Monitor players or books return to the academic department and collection of them
- Monitor practice being close to public assign gate duties
- Abide by all policies, procedures and guidelines of ECU, the Department of Athletics, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and all applicable conferences or associations.
- Build quality relationships and work collaboratively with Athletics, Pirate Club, and University staff, students, and all constituencies and stakeholders.
- Nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours, and travel are required in the performance of duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and previous football experience in coaching or operations at the high school, college or professional level.
