Summary: Galileo TP is a rapidly growing company in a unique and exciting field, working with manufacturers in the refrigeration industry. We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated Field Technician willing to see jobs through to completion. This individual must quickly understand each customer’s process and requirements, and effectively and professionally diagnose, repair, and communicate technical information to personnel at various levels, including upper management, engineers, operators, and contractors.

• Perform on-site service on Galileo equipment with customers and support troubleshooting via phone or email.
• Complete installations of manufacturing equipment at customer locations across North America.
• Provide written reports of all onsite visits for service and/or installations.
• Collaborate with the commercial and engineering departments to ensure customer’s technical needs are understood and met.
• Create service and parts quotes as requested by customers.
• Be available for pre-office hour calls from our headquarters in Florence, Italy for communication and product support.
• Travel throughout the North American market as required.
• Willingness to travel outside normal office hours.
• Occasionally travel by company car from the office to customer locations.

• Basic computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma and/or Associate Degree.
• Basic training in electrical safety.
• Basic HVAC/R knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills via email and phone.
• Attention to detail and proficiency with tools.
• Ability to pass background, drug, driving, and credit screenings.

• Bilingual in Spanish or Italian.
• IT experience (network setup).
• Basic programming or PLC troubleshooting.
• Experience working with contractors.
• Basic electrical skills (wiring panels, conduit).
• Mechanical skills (rebuilding compressors, pumps).
