What Drives Success

This technician performs field activities supporting the installation, maintenance, and servicing of HVAC systems for commercial customers.

Duties Include
  • Assist with on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair and calibration after installation
  • Use technical abilities to maintain systems
  • Work in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Work safely and ensure safety measures are taken at all times
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends
What We Are Looking For
  • High School diploma or GED
  • HVAC trade school graduate preferred, achieving around 3.5 GPA and excellent attendance
  • 1+ years in mechanical support role; some hands-on HVAC experience preferred
  • EPA Certification – Type I & Type II or Universal preferred
  • NATE certification a plus
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Moderate lifting up to 90 pounds
  • Technical aptitude to perform maintenance, service, and troubleshoot equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
  • Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork
  • Ability to work independently and self-schedule
  • Self-motivated to complete assigned tasks within time constraints
  • Driven to succeed with minimal supervision
  • Availability for weekend and night work occasionally
  • Willing to relocate to another part of the country after training
  • Local travel may be required
Physical Requirements
  • Install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial rooftop HVAC units; work may be performed independently
  • Climb ladders to access rooftops; work at heights
  • Load and unload tools/equipment from a work van
  • Lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally; up to 25 lbs shoulder/overhead; push/pull wheeled carts up to 150 lbs
  • Extend reach overhead in repetitive motions; manual tandem lifting up to 125 lbs
Compensation & Benefits

This is an hourly non-exempt role. The salary range is $29,000 – $38,000 annually, depending on geography, tenure, performance, skills, education, and experience. Overtime is available when exceeding 40 hours per week, per state law. Some benefits are available subject to eligibility.
