Greenville Water of Greenville, SC, is seeking to hire a full-time Operations Technician / Water Utility Technician to install, maintain, and repair water system components. This position offers a competitive wage of $16.21/hour and generous benefits, including health insurance, pension plan, 401(k) plan, vacation days, paid holidays, and long-term disability insurance. You will perform water system installation, maintenance, and repair, including tasks like installing pipes, repairing water mains, fire hydrants, meters, and making tie-ins and extensions. You will operate vehicles and construction equipment, maintain safety standards, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of construction or plumbing experience or equivalent, a valid South Carolina driver’s license, and First Aid/CPR certification or the ability to obtain it within 6 months. A COVID vaccination is required within 2 weeks of employment unless a reasonable accommodation is requested.
