Works independently and with other team members to install equipment and program systems at all phases of Commercial AV projects. This position requires an advanced understanding of Commercial AV systems, equipment and commissioning projects. Responsible for directing Technicians and Technician Assistants on project sites; possesses a willingness to provide hands-on training and guidance to Technicians and Technician Assistants as needed.
Job Responsibilities- Provides Project Manager with daily project status updates
- Maintains Project documentation on a daily basis
- Site walkthroughs with Project Management, Sales and Clients
- Completes quality control checks
- Completes complex, multi-room AV installs, setups and calibrations
- Control system and conference room installations
- Access control and surveillance installations and set up
- Advanced troubleshooting of simple and complex systems
- Advanced networking/data system installs, set up and deployment
- Programs automation, lighting and shade systems
- Designs, populates and wires full-sized equipment racks
- Coaches and trains Technicians and Technician Assistants
- Completes Fusion required training and certifications; maintains certification levels for all position requirements
- Adheres and maintains Fusion quality standards
- Avixa CTS Certification
- Demonstrated working knowledge of integrating access control systems
- Demonstrated working knowledge of automation systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented and organized; multi-tasker
- Self-motivated, task driven, and able to apply “best practices” theory
- Strong problem-solving skills; creates in the field solutions
- Ability to work 4/10 schedule
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to travel overnight for training and installations as needed
- Maintains valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years AV field experience
- Proficiency using hand and power tools
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work on ladders, lifts and at high elevations
