Job Description:

The Security Operations Associate is responsible for helping with security related issues for the assigned program. The Security Operations Associate responsibilities include execution of security functions including SAPF operations, personnel security, program support, physical security, information security, document control, badging and access control. The Security Operations Associate implements all requisite national security directives with specific emphasis on NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), Special Access Program (SAP) directives and other governing directives, as applicable.

Exhibits the dedication and expectation of excellence required of a security professional while working and making decisions appropriately under CSSO and ACSSO purview. The Security Operations Associate works as a team player, exhibits flexibility, follows the CSSO’s priorities, and manages customer expectations in a sometimes fast-paced environment. The Security Operations Associate interacts with internal and external customers as well as Government security officials in performance of security duties.

The incumbent is responsible for supporting and enacting all L3

Harris corporate policies including the protection of L3

Harris’ intellectual property.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain security program policies to ensure ongoing compliance with 32 CFR, Part 117, IC, DoDM 5205.07, and other requirements of all classified programs under purview.
• Prepare Security Operating Procedures (SOPs) outlining customer guidelines and establishing procedures for the handling, storage, and transportation of assigned assets.
• Conduct security related employee briefings to include indoctrination, debriefing, courier, closed area, program access, OPSEC, Insider Threat, derivative classification, foreign travel, and routine annual security trainings.
• Prepare and maintain System Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs) in accordance with ICD 705.
• Implement DD-254 Security Guidance and ensure program compliance with contractual requirements.
• Analyze and investigate security incidents and violations; prepare internal and external customer reports.
• Conduct annual self-inspections.
• Physical security duties include, but are not limited to, maintaining and changing combinations, access control systems, alarm access, secure area modifications and buildouts
• Maintain multiple PERSEC databases including JADE, DISS and SIMS.
• Process PARS in accordance with SAPNP guidance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• Active TS/SCI is Required.
