As a Security Officer - Flex Residential Patrol in Greenville, SC, you’ll serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as residential. This Flex Part‑Time position lets you build a schedule that works for you while offering the flexibility to explore new roles through our Claim a Shift platform.
In this role you will monitor and patrol residential areas to deter security‑related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication to residents and guests. Your work will support agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity while putting people first and creating a secure environment.

- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‐specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem‑solving skills to support a secure living environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or conditions encountered during patrols.
- Communicate with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as needed during incidents or emergencies.
- Document all incidents, observations, and/or actions taken in accordance with site protocols.
- Support access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points as directed by site‑specific policies.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
