What You’ll Do as a Territory Manager- Be the Customer Champion – Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team‑based selling model. Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies to help customers succeed.
- Drive Sales Success – Measured by selling to customers, increasing case growth and acquiring new business. Deliver impactful sales presentations and tailor your sales approach to individual customers. Effective time and territory management is critical.
- Team‑Based Selling – Work collaboratively with Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new account openings. Work closely with marketing, supply chain and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery.
- Lead with Insight – Develop new business by identifying prospective customers using market intelligence databases, business directories, leads from existing clients, trade shows and conferences.
- Delivery Resolution – Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process (e.g., delivery mis‑picks, short‑on loads, stock‑outs).
- Competitive Advantage – Know the market conditions, product innovations and competitors’ products, prices and sales; share information with customers as part of value‑added services provided.
- Stay on the Move – Drive your personal motor vehicle to conduct regular check‑ins, site visits and follow‑ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
- 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license required; motor vehicle record must be in good standing.
- Food service industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
- Problem‑solving ability / organization and negotiation skills.
- Team‑up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Tech‑savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.

The base salary range for this role is $50,000 – $90,000. Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location and other factors as applicable by law.
