Base pay range: $14.00/hr - $18.00/hr

General Purpose

The Area Supervisor is a member of Store Leadership responsible for a specific, assigned area of the Store, general operations and supervision when acting as Manager on Duty. Duties include opening/closing the store, supervising Associates, maintaining a friendly, easy‑to‑shop environment, ensuring merchandise presentation, and executing Company operational processes.

Essential Functions
  • Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments
    • Prioritises safety, practices safe behaviours, and maintains a safe shopping environment.
    • Secures the building, manages entrance/exit control, monitors EAS devices, protects the cash office, and ensures register security.
    • Clears clutter to keep egress routes safe.
    • Responds to fire alarms and after‑hours alarms when requested.
  • Customer Service
    • Treats customers, associates, and leaders with respect, courtesy, and professionalism.
    • Recognises associates using the Company recognition programmes.
  • Personal And Store Brand
    • Represents and supports the Company brand consistently.
    • Makes sure the dress code is followed by all associates.
    • Maintains cleanliness and merchandising standards for all store areas.
    • Handles daily trash removal.
  • General Merchandising
    • Ensures recovery, sizing, and markdowns are completed per Company standards.
    • Manages receiving and processing of merchandise, including non‑merchandise deliveries.
    • Maintains stockroom organization and handles floor moves, promotions, re‑wraps, and back‑stock processing.
    • Adheres to loss prevention measures and monthly presentation guidelines.
  • Loss Prevention
    • Complies with the Loss Prevention Awareness Program and maintains a strong presence on the sales floor.
    • Protects confidential information and merchandise.
    • Maintains the PVM system, conducts “Code 50” package inspections, and follows Company Best Practices.
  • Front‑End Supervision And Operations
    • Ensures front‑end processes meet Company standards and maximises productivity.
    • Manages the line to expedite customer wait times.
    • Trains associates on cash registers, shortage control, and other front‑end procedures.
    • Controls break schedules for retail associates.
    • Ensures equipment functions properly and supplies are stocked.
    • Teaches the “Scan and Bag” best practice and monitors merchandise salability.
  • Fitting Rooms
    • Maintains cleanliness of fitting rooms and audits garment tags.
    • Ensures go‑back compliance and proper handling of returned merchandise.
  • Administrative Duties
    • Handles cash pulls, bank deposits, and front‑end controls per company policy.
    • Administers payroll, scheduling, and reporting duties.
    • Performs other tasks assigned by the Store Manager.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred
  • Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
Physical Requirements /Ada
  • Use of store equipment including PDTs, registers, and PC as required
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move up to 100% of work time
  • Regular bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, and reaching
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, and lifting of more than 25 lbs
  • Use of janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies
  • Stockroom associates must regularly push, pull, and lift more than 20 lbs
