Description and Requirements

Merchandiser Travel Retail Service is responsible for representing Acosta, our clients, and our customers by effectively working in teams to perform reset and remodel work including reading and implementation of plan‑ograms, new item placement, void corrections, and special merchandising activity. Must be a self‑starter, quick learner, with strong attention to detail, and work well in a team environment.

What will you do?
  • Read and follow a plan‑o‑gram to effectively complete reset and remodel work. Have a working knowledge of merchandising and retail terminology.
  • Move and clean shelves, install new racks and shelves, display merchandise properly, place shelf strips and attach tags, check date codes and plan‑o‑gram integrity, and process pack‑outs, restocks and reorders as necessary.
  • Partner with store personnel and co‑workers to achieve and maintain merchandising excellence, discuss changes and build effective working relationships.
  • Effectively and accurately prepare, process, submit, and manage documentation related to assigned reset and remodel work.
  • Perform job safely by demonstrating full awareness of surroundings, using proper safety techniques and equipment, and proactively alerting management to any unsafe act or condition.
  • Understand and follow all Acosta Policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • At least 1‑year experience reading and using planograms. Retail and reset responsibility experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with business partners.
  • Comfortable utilizing technology (smartphones, computers, copier/fax, handheld devices).
  • Strong demonstration of core competencies: quality commitment, detail orientation, customer service, communication skills, and effective use of web‑based applications for scheduling, documentation, mileage, expenses, time, attendance and training.
  • Willing and able to work in cold environmental conditions (refrigerated/freezer sections) for limited periods of time.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision‑making and leadership skills. Must be able to read and communicate effectively with others.
  • Due to travel program requirements, this role requires employees to be at least 21 years of age to obtain the necessary credentials for travel.

Travel is required, with overnight stays up to 75‑100% of the time. Occasional weekend work also required.
