Job Summary:

The overall objective and purpose of the Server Assistant position is primarily responsible for clearing away dirty dishes, setting tables, and serving as an assistant to a Restaurant Server. They are to provide the highest level of service in support of the mission, core values, standards, and goals established by the company.

• Primary responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to the following:
• Clears and resets counters or tables at the conclusion of each course.
• Assists dining room waiters in the food and beverage service, sets tables, serves guests as directed by the waiter, keeps menus clean, cleans table between servings, and has menu knowledge.
• Assists with providing tables with beverages.
• Removes solid linens and replaces them with clean linen.
• Transports dirty dishes to the dishwashing station.
• Polish silver and glass as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• To perform this role successfully, an individual must have experience achieving desired results in their areas of responsibility.
• Experience in delivering exceptional service and hospitality.
• Display clear communication with the kitchen and front-of-house staff.
• Attention to detail and knowledge of proper plate presentation.
• Knowledge of all the ingredient details of every dish on the menu.
• Delivering food to guests quickly and efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous experience within food and beverage is a plus.

• The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience.
• Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise.
• Must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines with professionalism and collaboration.
• Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.

• The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• Push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs on a weekly basis.
• While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to walk, stand, and be on their feet for long and short periods of time.
