Position Summary

The Expediter serves as the vital link between the culinary and service teams, ensuring that every dish meets company standards for accuracy, timing, and presentation. Working closely with both sides of the house, the Expediter manages orders through the Toast Kitchen Display System (KDS), coordinating ticket flow and maintaining clear, professional communication throughout service. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage ticket flow and communication between culinary and service teams using the Toast KDS system.
  • Verify order accuracy, plating standards, and presentation consistency.
  • Prioritize and time orders to maintain smooth pacing and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate guest modifications, allergies, and special requests clearly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized expo station and assist during peak service periods.
  • Uphold food safety, sanitation, and operational standards at all times.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an expediter, line cook, or server preferred.
  • Familiarity with Toast POS/KDS systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Bi‑lingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to communicate effectively in English.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and move continuously for 6–12 hour shifts, depending on business needs.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 30 pounds safely.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, and variable noise levels.
