Baker, Restaurant​/Food Service

Job Summary

Prepares baked goods according to recipes and production specifications. Provides assistance in production planning and ensures proper food quality, portion control, and safety compliance.

• Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets.
• Utilize approved recipes and adhere to production standards and equipment usage.
• Complete production records, including waste tracking, portion usage, and shortages; notify supervisor when supplies are low.
• Maintain presentation, quality, portion control, and proper serving temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area.
• Handle foods items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service.
• Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments, keeping display equipment clean and free of debris.
• Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly and customer‑service oriented manner.
• Show ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure food is presented, served and displayed according to standards.
• Follow sanitation and safety principles, ensuring corporate and OSHA standards are met.
• Complete shift work, as assigned, in a timely and thorough manner in accordance with department standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Prior professional baking experience is required.
• Ability to perform essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Pay range: $14.00–$16.00 per hour.
