Restaurant​/Food Service Operator, Server​/Wait Staff

Operator – Sully’s Steamers – Greenville, SC

Oversee all restaurant operations and make final decisions on matters of importance.

Control food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs to increase sales and minimize expenses.

Maintain food safety, quality and sanitation standards; enforce Serv Safe guidelines.

Deliver outstanding guest service; respond to complaints and turn dissatisfied guests into repeat diners.

Manage personnel: hire, train, develop, evaluate and, when necessary, terminate employees; prepare schedules and ensure adequate staffing for all shifts.

Represent the restaurant in the local community and maintain a strong presence in the area.

• College degree preferred; practical experience and education acceptable.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and restaurant computer systems.
• Serv Safe certification required (certification can be obtained after hire).
• Background and credit check required.

• Self‑discipline, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing personality.
• Neat, clean appearance and pleasant, polite manner.
• Strong communication skills for dealing with diverse staff.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks (food, beverage, labor cost) while maintaining required standards.
• Ability to manage pressure and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.

• Keep owners/partners fully informed of all issues and take corrective action where necessary.
• Complete job responsibilities and performance objectives in a timely and effective manner.
• Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster maximum morale, productivity and efficiency.
• Provide a favorable image of Sully’s Steamers at all times.
• Perform other duties as requested or required.

• Typical work week = 50 hours; additional 5‑10 office hours per week.
• Prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
• Operate hot, cold and hazardous equipment; use phones, computers, fax machines, copiers and other office equipment.
• Flexible scheduling required to fill in for employees or respond to emergencies.
