Quality Engineer

Plans, coordinates, and directs quality control program alongside the plant manager and quality manager designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards. Plays an active role on quality management teams within the organization. Designs and implements quality control training programs for key personnel in conjunction with managers. Supports employees in carrying out their responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Job Duties:

* Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product

* Formulates and maintains quality control objectives aligned to corporate policies and goals

* Creates and implements inspection criteria and procedures

* Interprets quality control philosophy to key personnel in organization

* Coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs

* Applies total quality management tools and approaches analytical and reporting processes within each department

* Supports workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products

* Works with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts for company use

* Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and/or training equivalent to a combination of education and experience; three to five years of experience preferred

* Must have organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task

* Ability to maintain confidentiality, exceptional attention to detail and good follow-up skills

* Must possess good problem-solving skills

* Ability to interact in a professional manner with employees and vendors

* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

* Proficient in Excel and Word

* Willingness to work as team member or independently

* Must be dedicated to continuous improvement
