The role:

Manufacturing Project Manager @ OPmobility (Greenville, SC).

Main Mission: Managing the manufacturing engineering scope in a project, and providing smart, simple, and creative solutions to make the project profitable.

• Can be involved in the upstream phases of the project (expertise phase, acquisition phase).
• Depending on project size, will take into account activities of the extended team.
• Defines the global industrial scenario according to deliverable steps, taking into account production processes (paint, assembly) and supply chain (packaging, physical & information flows).
• Is accountable for the use of Plastic Omnium Manufacturing standards in a lean manufacturing way.
• Provides design for manufacturing requirements for product design and ensures the product meets those requirements.
• Ensures plant capacity is in line with project volumes.
• Is responsible for the industrialization phase in the production plant and SILs, leading the different manufacturing means after transfer in plant done by the different metier technicians (PPx).
• Manages the project manufacturing economical perimeter (cycle time, number of operators, investments, supply‑chain costs such as transport, SILS) and tracks perimeter changes due to customer or internal factor, reporting to the PM.
• Ensures industry performance benchmarks are met and eliminates non‑added‑value activities.
• Defines the initial Statement of Work of manufacturing perimeter, including extended team, project perimeter, development budget (hours, hourly rate, travel cost) and Optimap Work Packages.
• Sets up project planning.
• Manages manufacturing project reviews, consolidates action items and provides reporting and action plans.
• Participates in design reviews and QUAD reviews.

• Determines the provisional project budget (hours and cost).
• Defines internal and external perimeter based on SOW.
• Tracks perimeter changes due to customer or internal changes and reports to the PM, proposing adjustments and modifications linked to perimeter evolution over the project lifetime.
• Ensures follow‑up of the project budget and warns the PM and métiers managers in case of gaps.

• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives for job, organization, and methodology.
• Participates in capitalization and productivity actions.
• Participates in definition and implementation of a progress plan.
• Contributes to project closure and gives feedback on best practices and difficulties.
• Proposes solutions during technical and service meetings to improve function performance.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent, with relevant industry experience.
