Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• The Operations Manager will lead different manufacturing product groups to meet business targets including on time delivery, quality, efficiency and cost. Organize and staff manufacturing areas according to business needs.
• Lead and coach production supervisors across multiple shifts. Support coordination of weekly production schedule.
• Lead and participate in safety and quality improvement teams
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
• Contribute to new training development and sustainability of existing training systems.
• Planning and maintenance of budget for operations.
• Support new product prototype development and launch.
• Active contributor to continuous improvement process (5S, Kaizen, Shainin).
• Represent SMP to customers and suppliers.
• Perform all duties necessary, under the general direction of the Plant Manager to successfully lead the manufacturing efforts.
• Relocation provided. $140K-$150K.

• The Operations Manager will have a Bachelors degree and 5+ years’ experience leading manufacturing environments. Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive experience strongly desired.
• Project management experience. MRP/ERP experience.
• Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
