Description
You will be the LO/Structures Aircraft Mechanic for the Interim Contractor Support (ICS) Maintenance Team located in Volkel Netherlands.
What You Will Be DoingAs the LO/Structures Aircraft Mechanic you will be responsible for leading nose‑to‑tail maintenance on F‑35 airframes, with a focus on Tier‑2 corrosion inspections and aircraft restoration.
Responsibilities- Perform Tier‑2 corrosion inspections and comprehensive nose‑to‑tail maintenance on F‑35 airframes.
- Diagnose, repair, and return aircraft to airworthy condition, increasing availability for the Dutch customer.
- Make timely, independent decisions on maintenance actions while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
- Operate within the Interim Contractor Support (ICS) framework, collaborating with cross‑functional teams at Volkel.
Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.
Basic Qualifications- Must have 2‑years of hands‑on F‑35 maintenance experience to include Low Observable/Structures Maintenance working experience and knowledge of Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) to include, Anomaly Fault Resolution System, Customer Relationship Management, Joint Technical Data Navigation, Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA)/Maintenance Vehicle Interface (MVI) activities, Configuration Management and forms documentation and supply chain management activities.
- Requires minimum of 4 years hands‑on working experience in 5 or 7‑skill level USAF AFSC, CDI/CDQAR Navy NEC, or CDI/CDQAR United States Marine Corps, or equivalent on Fighter Attack Aircraft.
- Knowledge of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object damage (FOD), Supply, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Quality, and Security programs.
- An FAA aircraft and Power Plant Mechanic license is desirable.
- Proficiency with LM’s F‑35 Nose‑to‑Tail maintenance concept.
- Avionics Systems Maintenance Experience.
- Weapons/Egress Systems Maintenance Experience.
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years.
