The Talent Acquisition/HR Specialist performs a wide range of professional-level HR duties and works closely with the Senior Human Resources Generalist to support key functional areas including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, maintenance of employee records, HR administrative support, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Recruitment & Hiring (25%):
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, post job openings, coordinate pre-employment testing and interviews, conduct background checks, and extend offers. - Benefits Administration (10%):
Assist with the organization’s benefits programs and provide guidance to employees regarding eligibility and options. - Project Support (15%):
Complete departmental projects as assigned, including research, data collection, and analysis. - Payroll Support (10%):
Prepare and review time and attendance records for semi-monthly payroll and support payroll and HRIS processing. - Administrative Support (10%):
Order HR department supplies, assist with employment documentation, and participate in departmental meetings and trainings. - Employee Records & Orientation Materials (10%):
Maintain up-to-date personnel files and prepare orientation materials for new hires. - New Hire Orientation (10%):
Conduct HR orientation sessions covering benefits, policies, and procedures. - Job Description Management (5%):
Assist in updating and maintaining employee job descriptions. - Compliance (5%):
Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations. - Additional Duties
:
Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to all company policies and applicable laws.
- Previous experience in Human Resources is required.
- Experience with in a credit union or banking environment is preferred.
- Solid understanding of core HR functions, including employment law, payroll processing, and HRIS systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills.
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
