We are currently seeking a part-time
Universal Worker to join our dedicated team at The Laurel
. In this role, you will provide essential support and supervision for residents in our 10-bed housing facility, helping maintain a safe, clean, and compassionate living environment.
Please note that this is a part-time role, working 8 pm-8 am on Friday-Sunday nights.
Responsibilities- Participate as a key team member in providing supportive housing services, including lodging, meals, and basic supervision.
- Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts and remain on-site for the full duration of your shift.
- Receive report and keys from the previous staff member and review the Daily Log to ensure continuity of care.
- Oversee residents’ participation in Activities for Community Living as needed.
- Prepare, serve, and clean up meals according to the posted menu.
- Maintain a clean, orderly environment by cleaning common areas and ensuring proper upkeep of the facility.
- Document incidents using the Accident/Incident Report Form and complete required checklists.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with AID Upstate’s policies and HIPAA standards, both on and off duty.
- Follow all emergency, security, and disaster procedures as outlined in agency protocols.
- Update the next shift, turn over keys, and complete clock-out procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid South Carolina driver’s license.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including standing for sustained periods, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, and performing cleaning and meal service duties.
- No specific prior experience is required—training will be provided.
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft programs is a plus.
