We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Primary Care Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a valuable member of our healthcare staff, you will play a crucial role in assisting licensed physical therapists in delivering exceptional care to our homebound patients.
The position is full‑time, salary based, and offers the opportunity to receive a monthly bonus. PTA visits are conducted in homes, Assisted Living Facilities (ALF) and Independent Living Facilities (ILF). Two schedules are available:
Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM. The role serves the Pickens and Easley areas in South Carolina.
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by licensed physical therapists.
- Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities with patients.
- Educate patients on proper techniques for rehabilitation exercises.
- Document patient progress and update treatment plans.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and adjust them as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized therapy environment.
- Coordinate patient care with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist in the implementation of discharge plans and provide instructions for continued care.
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of practice.
- CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Compassion and empathy for patients undergoing rehabilitation.
- Physical stamina and dexterity necessary to assist patients with mobility and perform therapeutic activities.
- Experience or interest in pelvic health.
- Prior experience working as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Specialized training or certification in orthopedics, pelvic health, neurology, or geriatrics.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Bi lingual proficiency in English and another language commonly spoken by patients in the practice area.
