As a Physical Therapist
, you will complete initial and ongoing assessments, provide skilled therapeutic interventions for outpatients, inpatients, pediatrics, and off‑site locations, and support the continuum of professional care.
Complete assessments, develop treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and maintain accurate documentation to ensure quality care in a fast‑moving environment.
Essential Functions- Evaluate patients, gather pertinent information, and develop appropriate treatment plans with specific goals. Responsible for ongoing assessment, efficiency of treatment plans, and revisions as needed.
- Provide direct therapy to patients daily following the patient’s plan of care and current standards of practice for Physical Therapy. Provide instruction in therapeutic procedures to patients and family.
- Maintain accurate, concise records on treatment provided and patient’s progress. Document all care in the electronic medical record accurately and timely, and provide timely co‑signature for supervised PT assistants, if applicable.
- Maintain a set level of productivity without jeopardizing quality. Deliver efficient and effective care to patients, meeting and exceeding department standards.
- Adhere to departmental policies and procedures regarding safety, infection control, time‑off requests, and time‑card recording, including all necessary education and yearly compliance requirements.
- Supervise physical therapy assistant’s treatment interventions and professional growth.

Required Licensing & Certifications- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of current practice, or meet all qualifications for traineeship or temporary license in the state of current practice (required).
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire; required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH).
- 2 years of experience in an equivalent setting (preferred).
- Apply appropriate age‑specific standards, policies, and guidelines in caring for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Demonstrate general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management.
- Analytical abilities to evaluate patient condition, capabilities, and progress.
- Effective interpersonal skills for interacting with co‑workers, physicians, patients, and families.
- Ability to work well with all levels of patients, the public, and other health care professionals.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills.
