Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Plumbing Designer who is highly skilled in computer-aided design (CAD) and can effectively use drafting applications to create and produce drawings and 3D models of advanced complexity. The ideal candidate will have experience with S3D modeling and the ability to read, interpret, and generate design drawings with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

+ Originate and produce advanced complexity drawings and 3D models using CAD.

+ Read, interpret, and generate design drawings with minimal supervision.

+ Walk down field systems, interpret field direction, and generate advanced design details.

+ Create new or modify existing drawings.

+ Direct, check, and approve work performed by other designers.

+ Develop estimates, schedules, staff projections, and progress reports.

+ Track key quantitative metrics and manage project scope of services and facilities.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in S3D, isometric drawings, and 3D modeling.

+ Expertise in plumbing design, particularly within nuclear power settings.

+

Experience with Smart Plant design software.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Over 15 years of experience in drafting related to engineering and construction.

+ Associates Degree preferred.

+ Experience in electrical, mechanical, structural, communications, architectural, fire protection, and plumbing fields.

+ Experience in nuclear projects is preferred.

Work Environment

The role involves using advanced technologies such as CAD and Smart Plant design software, working in a dynamic and collaborative environment with opportunities to lead and mentor other designers. The position may require field visits to walk down systems and interpret field direction. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Greenville, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
