Cobra Implementation Specialist | Greenville, SC

OverviewOmega Technical Services is seeking a highly motivated Cobra Implementation Specialist to support ongoing operations in Greenville, SC. This position plays a vital role in advancing critical mission objectives within a highly regulated and technically demanding environment.
As a trusted partner to government agencies and national laboratories, Omega Technical Services supports some of the nation’s most complex and high‑impact programs. Through these strategic collaborations, Omega contributes directly to the strength, security, and sustainability of the U.S. Nuclear Security Enterprise.
Responsibilities- Ensure integration of the Cobra cost engine with the program’s scheduling tool (Oracle Primavera P6) and the proper management of project costs, measurement of performance, management of change control, and analysis of budgets, actuals, and forecasts.
- Develop and manage the Estimate to Complete (ETC) collection and integration process and validate the Estimate at Complete (EAC) within the Cobra data system.
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing Earned Value Management System (EVMS) implementation and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Manage the performance measurement baseline through the monthly integration of schedule plan, status, and forecasts with accounting system actuals, and develop quality assurance to ensure accuracy of reporting.
- Prepare, analyze, and review program performance measurement and cost variances, and for the implementation of change actions into the cost baseline according to procedure.
- Prepare and manage the variance analysis collection process and produce the required Format deliverable reports (Fmt 1-5) along with other required monthly metrics according to the monthly business rhythm.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience.
- Associate’s Degree with 12 years of experience.
- High School Diploma with 14 years of relevant experience.
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Satisfactory results of a pre‑employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check.
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance.
- Must have a working knowledge of federal (including Department of Energy Orders), state, and local codes and standards applicable to project controls.
- This is intended to be a senior level person with no less than 14 years of experience.
- Possession of an active DOE/DoD clearance within the past two (2) years is preferred.
- Previous DOE/NNSA work experience.
Shift will be dependent upon customer site discretion.
