We have an opening for a highly motivated and ambitious Water Resources Engineer in Greenville, SC. Office location may be flexible dependent upon experience level. Join our team in one of the fastest-growing and highly sought-after areas of the country to live!
TypicalDuties Include:
- Perform and/or conduct hydrologic analysis, hydraulic analysis, and water quality analysis of open channel and/or closed conduit stormwater collection systems for large and small-scale development projects and watersheds.
- Preparation and review of one- and two-dimensional hydrologic/hydraulic models, FEMA CLOMR/LOMR applications, documents and exhibits and drainage reports.
- Effectively interpret and communicate model input parameters, assumptions and results with an understanding of how to apply engineering judgement to troubleshoot model anomalies.
- Design site-specific best management practices (BMPs) to achieve permitting requirements including conventional, low impact development, green infrastructure and stormwater volume control BMPs.
- Perform opinions of construction costs for stormwater related projects, including open/closed system drainage rehabilitation, canals and flood control structures.
- Preferred: use of HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ICPR, XPSWMM, Arc Map, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and MS Office.
- 2+ years of experience
- Understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- EIT registration strongly preferred
- Ability to obtain Professional Engineer License within one year of hire strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, and organization skills.
- Willingness to work in a team setting with strong communication.
- Ability to learn various software programs.
