VENTEON and Harvard Resource Solutions are hiring an ELECTRICAL CONTROLS ENGINEER to support a plant in Greenville, South Carolina. You will be updating PLC Programing, troubleshooting issues, and working on continuous improvement projects.
POSITION TYPE:Full time. In‑plant. Long term Contract (Minimum 8 months). Potential to convert to a direct hire after project is completed. PAY:
Open based on education level and years of relevant experience.
- B.S. Engineering (or equivalent experience working in engineering role for 5+ years).
- Experience with programming / setup of camera systems (Keyence, Cognex, etc.).
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and how they function.
- Knowledge of MES systems/layer and how they function.
- Ability to read electrical drawings.
- Fast learner, able to learn new proprietary Controls standard.
- Siemens TIA Portal experience (mostly troubleshooting, ground up programming not required).
- Vision system experience.
- Responsible for the design, development, programming, and ongoing support of electrical control systems.
- Collaborate with Engineering, IT, Maintenance, and Automation teams.
- Modify and optimize existing equipment to meet changing production requirements.
- Improving / continuous improvement projects working hand‑in‑hand with MFE personnel. Example projects: camera integrations, poke‑yoke / sensor installations, updating PLC programming, etc.
- Troubleshooting machine downtime / PLC issues with IT and Maintenance Controls teams.
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations personnel.
- Maintain documentation, backups, and version control for control systems.
