Overview
Insight Global is seeking a Combustion Repair Engineer to join the team of one of their top energy customers in Greenville, SC. This position is onsite, Monday-Friday 7:30-4:30pm. The Combustion Repair Engineer will be responsible for effective identification, industrialization, and support of repair processes in Gas Turbine Repair Service Centers. This role primarily supports the development, startup, and implementation of Gas Turbine Combustion repairs and serves as the Repair Technical Expert.
The engineer will be providing technical direction, facilitate implementation of new repairs, improve overall safety standards, and ensure compliance with company requirements through audits. This role requires background supporting manufacturing services and repair, and includes mechanical design work. Gas turbine experience is highly preferred. Some experience with lean and/or quality training, familiarity with manufacturing processes, strong project management/coordination, and strong mechanical design and analytical background is needed.
This position is versatile and the team is looking for someone who is willing to dive in and hit the ground running.
- Identify, industrialize, and support repair processes in Gas Turbine Repair Service Centers.
- Support the development, startup, and implementation of Gas Turbine Combustion repairs.
- Serve as the Repair Technical Expert, providing technical direction and facilitating implementation of new repairs.
- Improve overall safety standards and ensure compliance with company requirements through audits.
- Apply mechanical design work and support manufacturing services and repair activities.
- 3-5 years of experience working in the gas turbine industry and/or supporting a manufacturing, services, repair, or design environment.
- Lean training or equivalent quality training.
- Strong mechanical design and analytical background.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
- Ability and established track record to drive projects to completion.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering, Materials Science; or related engineering field of study from an accredited college or university.
$40/hr to $52/hr exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
