Job Description Summary

We’re producing High Pressure Turbine Blades that help power tomorrow’s commercial and military aircraft. As the Supplier Production Control Leader, you will be responsible for driving the alignment of supplier delivery and customer demand, predictable delivery performance, and supermarket health across a portfolio of suppliers. This role indirectly supports end-to-end supplier production planning, capacity management, and material flow, ensuring parts availability that meets Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives. In this role, you will partner with external stakeholders along with internal customers to mitigate risk, problem solve constraints and ultimately support external customer deliverables.

This position will require up to 25% travel.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Pursue a customer driven mindset by leading the day-to-day relationship with our external suppliers aligned with the needs of our internal shop execution teams
  • Own supplier delivery performance metrics, pareto tracking and recovery action planning
  • Incorporate FLIGHT DECK fundamentals and problem solving to facilitate improvement in material flow, lead time and aged WIP reduction, kanban sizing, supermarket health, inventory accuracy, and yield increase
  • Develop a working level technical understanding of our outside vendor processes (coating, welding, machining etc.)
  • Provide strategic input with respect to overall external capacity needs based on customer demand profile and leverage short term balancing methodology among qualified sources
  • Develop strong working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders that demonstrates respect for people, collaboration and influential leadership
  • Use some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters
  • Use prior experience and on-the-job training to solve improvement opportunities. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing and/or supply chain experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing and/or supply experience
Desired Characteristics
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in production control, supply planning, or supplier operations; demonstrated experience with complex supply chains
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, demand/supply planning, and production scheduling
  • Strong analytics and Excel/BI skills; ability to interpret data and drive actions
  • Experience leading suppliers through recovery and improving on-time delivery
  • Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn
