Job Description Summary
In this role you will be responsible for executing and maturing our flange to flange suppliers through lean applications and roadmaps to improve GE’s supply chain. Role is focused on driving change throughout the wing-to-wing supply base to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost ition will drive supplier processes and systemic quality improvements using Lean and Six Sigma tools to improve delivery and quality.
Individual will be required to work with Suppliers, Procurement, Component Engineering and Operations to establish strategic and comprehensive OTD, Quality and sourcing initiatives, which are aligned to the business and meet customer expectations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide Supplier with technical expertise in areas such as Process Development, Capacity Planning, Inventory Requirements and Management to meet GE demand and supplier needs.
- Drive Value Stream Analysis and Kaizens with key suppliers to enable strategic goals for GE and the supply base.
- Drive process and systemic quality improvements, at assigned supplier sites, through the use of lean and quality tools and validates improvements through defined measurables to reduce defects and improve OTD.
- Drive process and systemic improvements for identified internal processes through the use of lean and quality tools and validates improvements through defined measurables to reduce waste.
- Work in conjunction with Supplier Quality and Suppliers in problem solving - leading cross-functional teams on major issues resolution at Supplier locations.
- Perform analysis (Commodity, Quality Systems, DPPM, DMR) to determine trends along with proposed actions to drive performance improvement.
- Lead training of internal staff along with other functions on Supplier Lean governance strategy, policy, procedures and work instructions.
- Prepare, distribute and communicate periodic Supplier performance status and risk assessments.
- Work to actively deploy GE Vernova’s defined Supplier Development Procedures, Processes and work instructions within the region. Support process and procedures review along with continuous improvement actions
- Support the development & execution of global sourcing strategies for the F2F commodities (Forgings, Airfoils, Structures, Hot Gas Path & Combustion)
- Support the development & execution plans of identified suppliers to meet the demand growth profile while expediting global sourcing strategies for capacity needs in the F2F
- Interface with Business Sourcing Leaders and functional owners to understand business priorities and determine appropriate commodity growth strategies
For Roles in the USA Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a technical discipline
- A minimum of 6-8 years of in manufacturing or operations.
- 2-3 years’ experience in materials and/or procurement.
- Proven lean experience by creating roadmaps utilizing lean tools and execution of strategies.
- This is a remote role and you must reside in the U.S.

For Roles outside of the USA-Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience in manufacturing or operations.
- Proven experience in materials and/or procurement.
- Proven lean experience by creating roadmaps utilizing lean tools and execution of strategies.
- Willingness and ability to travel at least 50% .
- Masters in engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration is a plus.
- Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt or equivalent Quality certification.
- Able to develop a strategy and drive execution and change in a matrixed environment.
- Evidence of knowledge of the Quality Sciences
-APQP, Problem solving, sampling, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, PDCA. - Some previous leadership experience in management, supervision or project/program leadership.

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
