Lucideon M+P is seeking a talented and driven Metallurgical Engineer to join our growing U.S. team and support a diverse range of clients across aerospace, energy, defense, and other cutting‑edge industries.

This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who thrives on solving complex materials challenges, enjoys hands‑on investigations, and values direct client interaction. You’ll play a key role in delivering world‑class evaluations, failure analyses, and consulting services on a wide variety of metals and alloys.

Who You Are

You’re a detail‑oriented, customer‑focused engineer with a passion for metallurgy and problem‑solving. You have:

A bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering or Materials Science (advanced degree preferred).

  • Industrial experience working with metals and alloys, including titanium, superalloys, and other high‑performance materials.
  • Strong knowledge of metallurgical evaluation techniques, including SEM, image analysis, hardness testing, and failure analysis.
  • Ability to interpret diverse test standards and client requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Clear and concise communication skills for technical reporting and client interaction.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
What You’ll Do

In this dynamic role, you will:

  • Lead investigations on a wide range of metals and products.
  • Perform metallurgical evaluations and coordinate cross‑lab activities.
  • Consult directly with clients to define testing programs and technical approaches.
  • Prepare professional technical reports and deliver findings.
  • Support quality compliance, audits, and procedure development.
  • Occasionally assist the commercial team with technical scopes and client inquiries.
